This drusy is mostly flat and is easy to cut into matched pairs. The host material under the druse is blue chalcedony which holds together when cutting on the saw and when smoothing and polishing the edges.
The surface of this fine material has a velvety look, because the crystals are oriented slightly to one side. Therefore, the stones may need to be oriented properly to get the most sparkle. Mohs hardness 7.
