Chrysoprase is a much sought after apple green stone. It is a variety of chalcedony that contains a small amount of nickel, which gives it its color. Good chrysoprase rough is becoming harder to find, but we were lucky to get this from an old collection. It cuts and polishes easily, just like agate. Polishes best with diamond, cerium or tin oxide. Mohs hardness 7.
