Rainforest Jasper has a greenish background color with contrasting eyes.
As with many jaspers, we believe Rainforest "Jasper" is actually a form of rhyolite that has been silicified into a more jasper-like material. Rainforest Jasper takes a nice polish with cerium oxide, tin oxide, or diamond. Mohs hardness is approximately 7.
