Rhodonite Rough SALE!!
Rhodonite is a manganese silicate. It is a beautiful deep pink material with veins of black manganese oxide running through it. The outside of rhodonite rough has a thin veneer of manganese oxide, which makes it look like an uninteresting black rock. We show photos of a rhodonite slab and a finished cabochon to show what this material looks like on the inside. Rhodonite has the reputation of being difficult to polish, but we have found that it polishes well with diamond. Mohs hardness 5.5 to 6.5.
